Grey peacock-pheasant - 20-25 cm - 2 eyesThis bird of the pheasant family, from south-est Asia, is able to fan its tail like a peacock. During mating period, the show is incredible. The metallic blue-green eyes spreaded on the back and the tail make everybody look at it. This singular plumage have a kind of fantastic aspect. The effect is reinforced by contrast between the color of the eyes and the rest of the plumage that is grey with little beige spots. Each feather is a masterpiece of nature. The feathers of the mantle bear one single eye, the tail feathers bear two eyes.
