Vulturine Guineafowl feather - 9-11 cm - black - white stripe
Originally from eastern Africa where it lives in semidesert area full of thorny bushes, the vulturine guineafowl is yet the biggest of the guineafowls. It has a blue-colored plumage on the neck and the chest, that is quite strange for a bird that essentially lives on the ground. Its name comes from its naked head, like vultures. This feather is amazing by the single lengthwise white stripe.
