Vulturine Guineafowl - 5-7 cm - blue-grey-white
Originally from eastern Africa where it lives in semidesert area full of thorny bushes, the vulturine guineafowl is yet the biggest of the guineafowls. It has a blue-colored plumage on the neck and the chest, that is quite strange for a bird that essentially lives on the ground. Its name comes from its naked head, like vultures. Here is a little feather from the neck, rare by its futuristic aspect, with this middle white line and the barbs blue-colored at the end. It's a feather to wear alone on a hat, or with others feathers of the same bird.
