Vulturine Guineafowl feather - 20-25 cm - striped and spotted
Originally from eastern Africa where it lives in semidesert area full of thorny bushes, the vulturine guineafowl is yet the biggest of the guineafowls. It has a blue-colored plumage on the neck and the chest, that is quite strange for a bird that essentially lives on the ground. Its name comes from its naked head, like vultures. Here is a feather quill, perfect by the row of little dots that meet at the end, and its warm chocolate color.
