As indicated by its name, it's a quite common bird in northern hemisphere.
The feathers are of all the shades of a very bright grey, transparent at the base and more dense at the end. Thin and soft, with a pleasing to the eye spear-shape, one can use them as a bunch, as a plume, on a fascinator, by exemple.
